As President, Christopher Prejean is responsible for the daily oversight of gas procurement, operational issues, sales and marketing efforts, and general administrative staff of Enhanced Energy. Mr. Prejean brings a wealth of industrial natural gas marketing, trading, and risk management experience to his role as President of Enhanced Energy.
Prior to forming Enhanced Energy in 2005, Mr. Prejean served as Director of Energy Management Consulting at a national energy consulting firm, Quantum Gas & Power Services. There, he oversaw the development and implementation of tailored energy strategies for commercial-industrial clients, in a role he assumed following senior energy marketing director positions at Texas-Ohio Gas Companies, ePrime, and Perry Gas Companies.
Mr. Prejean holds a B.B.A. in Marketing degree from the University of Houston.
As Vice President of Risk Management, Bill Glass is charged with the responsibility and oversight of ensuring that Enhanced Energy and their clients have a sound and stable risk policy as it pertains to their exposure in the natural gas and electric supply arena.
Prior to joining Enhanced Energy, Mr. Glass has been President and a member of the board of directors at Platinum Energy, a mid level natural gas and crude oil production firm. Mr. Glass has worked in the energy industry and energy financial derivatives markets since 1996. Mr. Glass has been an independent energy trader and consultant since December 2003. Prior to his independent trading, Mr. Glass was Vice President of Marubeni Energy Incorporated’s North American natural gas division. He was responsible for all natural gas transactions, transportation, marketing, trading, and operations. He has also served as a senior trader at Southern Company Energy marketing where his responsibilities included managing the financial gas daily desk as well as trading gulf coast, northeast, and mid west financial products. Mr. Glass began his energy career at Enron as part of the risk management team.
Mr. Glass holds a bachelor’s in Finance and Accounting from Texas A&M University.
Managing daily operations at Enhanced Energy, Kris has been on the team for four years. He joined Enhanced Energy as an intern while finishing his MBA at the University of Houston and started as one of the company’s first electricity operations analysts. Working with and developing forecasting models, as well as, fine tuning client pricing data, Kris assisted in the refinement of the Enhanced Energy electricity operations department.
He has had over ten years of previous experience in personal service and team management fields. As a licensed massage therapist and small business owner, Kris has utilized his skills to focus on the accuracy and minutia of the data that Enhanced Energy processes and delivers to their clients on a daily basis.
While dedicated to work, Kris also has interests in automotive repair and customization, international travel and is an avid UH football fan that is involved with a sponsored tailgate with other UH alumni.
Caroline Dowies-Marks comes from a family with experience in the Natural Gas and Oil field services space. After trying her hand in other fields, she decided to make the change to start scheduling gas as it seemed a logical transition. Prior to joining Enhanced Energy, Caroline worked in natural gas scheduling at Quantum Gas & Power Services and we found the “diamond in the rough” as they say. Caroline has eight years of experience in scheduling natural gas from the receipts point in the Gulf of Mexico Canada to the various market areas from the southern tip of Florida to the New England markets in Massachusetts. Ms. Dowies-Marks has ascended through the ranks at Enhanced Energy and she holds the position of Senior Gas Operations Analyst.
Outside of work, Caroline and her husband welcomed their first child this past year (October 2014). Balancing her duties at Enhanced Energy, a mom, and a wife have created challenges that she feels are learning experiences that will only help her in every aspect of life.
Prior to joining Enhanced Energy in July 2014, Alison has had four years of experience in the financial service industry. During this time, she served as a senior business specialist at JP Morgan Chase. There Alison played a key role in gathering data from various sources which was then meticulously analyzed to determine the best possible options for the client’s long term and short term business goals. Her background in finance and customer service has allowed her to take a dynamic approach when working with a team to produce the optimum results. Alison is a University of Houston alumni with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a certificate of Entrepreneurship.
Outside of the office, Alison enjoys socializing with friends and family, traveling to explore new places and to meet new people from varied backgrounds to improve her knowledge and skills.
Nick joined Enhanced Energy in April 2015 with a background in logistics and production management. Responsibilities in these roles included price modeling and analysis, raw material procurement, large project scheduling, and export shipment coordination. That background of being extremely organized and the fact that he’s a quick study, has Nick set for extremely amazing growth within Enhanced Energy.
Nick received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University – Commerce and a master’s of science in Finance along with an Economics of the Energy Value Chain certificate from the University of Houston. Outside of work he enjoys reading, trail running, and spending time with family and friends.
As an operations analyst, Ms. Raghuram is involved in developing models, designing and maintaining database for both short term and long term Forecasting and scheduling Power for our clients. She is also responsible for developing applications to automate and provide ad hoc analysis to facilitate everyday operations.
Prior to Enhanced Energy, Ms. Raghuram worked as a software engineer for 3 years, developing and testing tools on Mainframes and handled change management of IT development teams from the UK to India. Ms. Raghuram has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from India and a MBA from University of Houston. Ms. Raghuram joined Enhanced Energy as an intern and was quickly advanced to full time employment due to her expertise in Computer Information Systems and Programming. She is a vital part of the electric operations and the flow of information from the various ISO’s.
Daniel joined the Enhanced Energy team in 2014, after graduating from The University of Houston, as an analyst for Electric Operations. Daniel is responsible for daily forecasting of the clients volumetric needs, updating daily pricing scenarios, assisting in the monthly billing procedures / reconciliations all for our clients in the electric operations group.
Prior to starting his career Daniel had taking several energy industry courses offered from the University of Houston – Bauer College of Business, as well as, successfully completing an internship for a midstream acquisitions company.
Mr. Goodwin holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Houston.
Mr. Bold currently provides Enhanced Energy with electric forecasting and scheduling as an intern as he completes his bachelors degree in Finance as well as Supply Chain Management with the University of Houston – Bauer College of Business.
A native Houstonian, Dave Ciarella is an honor graduate from UT-Austin with a major in economics and a minor in chemistry. He then served four years as an officer in the Army in various command and staff positions in the US and Germany. After military service, Dave worked for 14 years at Nalco Chemical Company in sales and sales leadership, serving chemical plants and refineries along the Texas Gulf Coast. In a career change, he joined Houston Lighting and Power in 1996 to participate in the early stages of electricity deregulation in Texas. In 2000, Dave was one of the leaders of the deregulated commercial and industrial sales group as HL&P separated into Reliant and CenterPoint. He left Reliant shortly after it was sold to NRG Energy in 2009 and joined TXU Energy to head up their Houston sales office. Dave now works for Enhanced Energy Services in Sugar Land, establishing their presence in the government client and small business sector. He has several industry publications, has a patent, and is the author of the recent book The Civilian Guide to Leading Your Troops.
He is married, has two adult sons, and has three grandchildren. Dave enjoys golf and reading and volunteers as a tutor with the Literacy Council of Fort Bend County, helping adults to study for their GED.
Rene began her energy career with Enhanced Energy in January 2006. She brings over three decades of Financial and Marketing experience to Enhanced Energy. Her current responsibilities range from various roles within the Energy Management group from benchmarking and tracking budgets for clients with multi-facility / multi-state locations to setting up new locations with their energy suppliers. She works directly with clients to assist in the negotiating of supply agreements. She is also responsible for the various financial aspects of Enhanced Energy which range from payroll to financial statements, to company taxes. She also handles all of Enhanced Energy personnel duties as she heads up the Human Resources department.
She previously worked in the Financial Planning field as a Certified Financial Planning Analyst, NASD Compliance Manager, Certified Personal Consultant, and Marketing Director.
Proficient in Quick Books, Quicken, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Word, Outlook and many programs designed for the financial industry, add tremendous benefit to Enhanced Energy’s bottom-line.
